Harold Schenk started his career at the age of 4, studying classical music with piano as first instrument and continued throughout his school career to pass his licentiate as a cum laude student. Although he has been very successful as classical musician, his love lies with contemporary pop music and subsequently he has worked with the following people: Harold has arranged and produced for the following Afrikaans artists: Eden, Nicholis Louw, Danie Niehaus, Coenie de Villiers, André Swiegers, Amanda Luyt GAS, Phillip de Villiers, Le-Lue (2005 Burger Plusstêr winner), Reana Nel, Lukas Maree, Jannie Moolman, Manuel Escorcio, Janita Claasen, Danie Botha, Prophet, Piet Smit, Guillaume, ye-ye, Charl van Heyningen, Karin Hougaardt, André Schwartz, Willie Joubert, Anneli van Rooyen, Pieter Koen, Amor Vitone, Hi 5. He also arranged and produced award winning international releases, namely Coleske and Paradiso. Coleske sold in 29 European countries, while Paradiso was distributed in the Latin American territories. Coleske was also a platinum seller in South Africa and their album won the ASAMI award for the best new release. He still continues to work on Coleske projects. Although he is better known and well respected as record producer, Schenk has composed and produced the following TV and radio station id’s: YO-TV, Radio Jacaranda, OFM Stereo, Radio Sesotho, Radio Setswane , Impact Radio and TV. He has worked on the MK89 jingles and the new KykNet channel theme music and jingles.
